Loughton II had a tough start to the season with a 4-1 defeat to Barking’s 3^rdstring.

Fred suffered a quick defeat.
Simon and Martin steadied the ship with quick draws shortly afterwards.
Mick lost a piece in the middle game and battled hard to create counter chances but his opponent’s material advantage eventually told.
Kestutis reached a balanced middle game position but found himself short of time. He then blundered the exchange and lost on time shortly afterwards.
